Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or playing Wasteland Online ("the Service") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated from wasteland.se.

2. Age Requirement

The Service is intended for players aged 16 or over. If you are under 16, you may only use the Service with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

3. Free to Play, No Pay-to-Win

The Service is free to play. It has no pay-to-win mechanics and never will. Real money can never be used to buy resources, troops, buildings, research or any other gameplay advantage. If optional cosmetic purchases are ever introduced, they will never affect gameplay, and this policy will not be retroactively changed.

4. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and account secure.
• You may have only one account per person. Multi-accounting ("alts") for an unfair advantage is prohibited.
• You must provide a valid email address, and keep it up to date.
• Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violations of these terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, exploits, or automated tools that give an unfair advantage.
• Cheat, hack, or abuse bugs — and if you find a bug, report it instead of exploiting it.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players in chat or in-game.
• Post illegal, hateful, or unlawful content in chat or mail.
• Attempt to access other players' accounts or data.
• Interfere with the Service, its servers, or other players' enjoyment.

6. Game Rules & Fair Play

The game is competitive. Raiding, scouting, PvP and trading with other players are normal parts of gameplay. However, real-world threats, doxxing, or attempts to harm other players outside the game are strictly prohibited and will result in a ban.

7. Content You Create

Chat messages, mail, usernames and clan names you create are your responsibility. You grant the Service a licence to display them in-game. We may remove content that violates these terms.

8. Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it running and free of charge, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. World data may be reset or adjusted at any time as part of seasonal gameplay.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wasteland Online shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. In-game items, progress and virtual resources have no monetary value.

10. Account Termination & Data

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting privacy@wasteland.se. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. See the privacy policy for details on how your data is processed and retained.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator is established. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. For consumers in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered players of material changes via in-game mail or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
